Last year I got all paranoid about the icky things that might be making their way into my body from the makeup I wear (this article about lead in lipstick is just one of the things that set me off). I set out to find some more benign products, with shall we say, mixed results. I bought this sunscreen which turned out to be a disaster. I discovered that the Dr. Hauschka liquid bronzer is awesome once you learn how much to apply. I found a Gabriel Color lipstick in pinky plum "Velour" that I liked, though not as much as my beloved Nars Damage.
And today I received an email from one of my favorite stores, the Portland-based Alder & Co., saying they are carrying the natural beauty line Ilia Beauty now.
I love the look of the packaging and the fact they they offer more fashion-forward colors like hot pink and vivid orange. Hot damn! Can't wait to go to Alder and check this stuff out. And please share in the comments if you have any natural makeup holy grail products--the search continues!

(My favorite lipstick right now is by Ellis Faas, I will not give them up! ;) I am also a big NARS fan-- wearing a lot of Fast Ride these days.)
How to Kill Yourself with Lipstick? Love it. I feel better now but I'm excited to check out Ellis Faas. I'm really curious about that foundation--the packaging is gorgeous.
