It's my opinion that most of the time fashion isn't art, but once in a while, as in the work of fellow Portlander Kate Towers, it most definitely is. Kate has been chosen as a finalist for the Martha Stewart American Made Audience Choice Award. I would so love to see Kate be honored by winning the $10,000 prize and being recognized by Martha Stewart Living magazine. She's really one of the most original designers I know--I'm such a longtime fan.
